Role Summary: This role will play a key role in managing investor relations, supporting compliance with bank loan covenants, and ensuring the smooth operation of property inspections and insurance management. This position involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to maintain a high standard of financial reporting and asset performance across a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties. The ideal candidate will have a background in banking or real estate finance, with strong organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investor Relations Management:
  • Maintain and manage the investor relations portal (IMS), ensuring all project and financial information is current and accurate.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of investor updates and reports, ensuring timely communication of project progress, financial performance, and distributions.
  • Assist with investor inquiries, collaborating with the Asset Manager to provide accurate and prompt responses.

Financial Reporting & Construction Debt:

  • Support the Asset Manager by gathering and providing data for financial reporting, including construction debt and refinancing efforts.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for bank inquiries, loan sizing, and financial analysis to support refinancing strategies.

Property Inspections & Compliance:

  • Coordinate and conduct property inspections, documenting findings and following up on necessary actions to ensure properties remain in compliance with loan covenants and performance benchmarks.
  • Monitor bank loan compliance metrics, alerting senior management of any potential issues and assisting in the development of corrective action plans.

Insurance Management:

  • Support the Asset Manager in reviewing and managing property insurance policies, including general liability, builder's risk, and flood insurance.
  • Handle the coordination of insurance renewals and claims, working closely with external providers to ensure competitive rates and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate finance, asset management, or a related field, preferably within the multifamily sector.
  • Experience with investor relations software (IMS or similar) and proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate finance, loan compliance, and property operations.
  • Experience in managing or supporting multifamily real estate portfolios is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface with investors, lenders, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with project management software (Smartsheet or similar).
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Additional Information:

  • Travel: Less than 10%, primarily for property inspections.
  • Work Hours: Standard M-F schedule, with occasional after-hours work as needed to meet deadlines or address urgent issues.
