Stoa Group has expanded into the Charlotte market, and we're looking for the right person to help lead the charge. We're seeking a Multifamily Project Manager who exemplifies character, competence, and chemistry-someone who doesn't just fit our culture but helps shape it.

This is a rare opportunity to join a proven, people-first organization at the ground level of a new market. You'll play a key role in building out our construction operations in Charlotte with the full support of a company that knows how to build from scratch-and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead field operations for multiple concurrent multifamily construction projects, from mobilization through turnover (each $35M-$58M+, up to 350+ units).
  • Supervise Superintendents and field teams to ensure alignment with schedules, safety, and project milestones.
  • Drive schedule performance, subcontractor management, cost control, and quality assurance.
  • Serve as the primary problem solver and escalation point for field-related issues.
  • Participate in scope and buyout reviews; provide feedback to Preconstruction during active jobs.
  • Oversee project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders, using Procore.
  • Collaborate with Development, Property Management, and other departments for site-level alignment.
  • Champion jobsite safety and accountability across all projects.

What We're Looking For

  • A self-starter who takes ownership and leads by example.
  • Proven experience managing ground-up commercial or multifamily construction projects.
  • A builder of both buildings and teams-committed to hiring the right people and elevating team culture.
  • Someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is excited by the opportunity to shape operations from a blank slate.
  • Strong communicator with a track record of subcontractor management and cross-functional coordination.
  • Tech-forward mindset with fluency in Procore, Excel, and project tracking tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).

Compensation & Scope

This role serves as the operational lead for assigned developments, collaborating closely with field and corporate teams to drive project success. Project Managers at Stoa oversee large-scale, multi-phase multifamily developments, typically valued between $35M-$58M+ and ranging up to 350 units across multiple sites.

At Stoa Group, we believe in compensating our team competitively based on experience, impact, and market data. We offer a total rewards package that reflects the complexity and importance of this role-because when our people succeed, so do our projects.
